Letter: A different, more inclusive program this summer

Hi all,

Hope you’ve all been well. It’s been a while. I’ve taken a short hiatus to rethink a lot of things, including this year’s summer program.

We’ve been discussing how to provide the best tech learning experience possible in our programs, and we’ve reached the conclusion that in order to maximize student learning, for this summer we’re going to teach smaller, more refined, and tighter-knit classes. Each student will have greater access to resources, more tailored mentor support, and greater latitude for their final projects. What does this mean in practice?

  • We’re going to cap our programs this summer to 20 spots total.

  • Our mentor:student ratio will drop to 1:3, leading to a more inclusive class.

  • Classes will be faster-paced, covering a greater amount of content in the same time

  • More projects and resources for student final projects.

If you’ve already indicated interest in our summer programs and we haven’t responded to you, please feel free apply today. As an apology for our unresponsiveness lately, you’ll receive a $50 discount if you indicated interest prior to today. If you haven’t already indicated interest in our summer programs yet, please do apply soon.

Feel free to shoot me an email at allan@kinet-x.org with questions.
